Bathroom Remodel

Our bathroom was completely outdated. When we first bought the house, it looked like this:

Purple wallpaper, tile with flowers on it, gold fixtures, carpet in the bathroom, oak colored cabinetry, cream and rose colored marble counters. Bleh. Not my style. And the shower was just as wonderful.

We tore all the wallpaper off and painted before we moved in, but didn't have much time or money to do anything else to it. But at the beginning of this year, our shower started to leak. So we decided to use our tax return to fix the whole bathroom since we needed to fix the shower anyways. Behold our amazing new bathroom (and the process of getting there)!
Demolition to the floor and wall tile.

Our new shower base.

Creating our built-in shower.

Cement board for the shower tile.

Shower tile going in!

Pretty :)

We put bead board on the walls.

Floor tile and new wall color.

All done! (We still have to decorate a little bit)
We love, love, love the way it turned out!

I painted our existing vanity and we got a new granite top, faucet, and knobs for it.

We still have to hang stuff back up and get a few more small things, like a toilet paper holder and towel bars, but it is functional and beautiful!

  1. That looks fantastic in the end! Thank god you got rid of that moldy purple, pink whatever wallpaper that was in there.

  2. That's a huge bathroom! :) Love what you did to it. And I'm hoping something works out job-wise for you to do with design!
